Verified ReviewerHorrible representation
Don’t hire them in the first place!
Just one example of the poor representation happened when the junior attorney was going to send a document to the opposing party that still had the track changes marked on it with attorney-client privileged information.
An attorney relative of mine, who has specialized in employment law for over 25 years, was aghast at the issues they did not follow up on or notify me about, and another professional in the legal community advised that this firm has had numerous professional complaints filed against them. With so many of my former colleagues in the federal government undergoing difficulties these days, I would strongly recommend hiring another law firm to represent you.
- Have their best interests at heart and not those of their clients
- Double billing
- Argumentative and condescending
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: Hire a different law firm!
Scam!!!!! Do believe it. Your money will disappear in to China. They got me.
Total scam use fake delivery emails and doesn't respond. Once they accepted my payment I knew it was a scam do not give your hard earned money to some Chinese scammer. Who probably get cancer for being a piece of *** Karma.

Verified Reviewer |Dissatisfied
I was surprised to receive accusations regarding my review from an attorney at Tully. To clarify, I was not aware that the website assigned a nickname rather than using my actual name, as my previous reviews on other sites have always displayed my full name.
There was no intent to misrepresent my identity or post a fraudulent review.Additionally, I find it concerning that after my prior discussion with the firm regarding my dissatisfaction the attorney mentioned a billing discrepancy and offered an additional refund of $350 to my existing $500 balance. However they have chosen to rescind that offer following my reviews. The aggressive approach in calling me twice within 20 minutes to express anger over my feedback only reinforces my concerns about my experience with the firm.
I was accused of bullying them into providing a full refund - which I never did.My review was an honest reflection of my experience, and I stand by it. However, attempting to withdraw a refund offer in response to criticism does not seem like an appropriate resolution.
Failed to listen to my concerns and provided POOR legal guidance. Despite repeated attempts to communicate my needs, they seemed uninterested in truly understanding my case. What's even more frustrating is that they had no issue in taking my money while delivering subpar service.
I certainly did not feel I received the level of expertise or dedication that should be expected from a lawyer. If you are looking for a lawyer who genuinely cares, listens to their clients and provides competent legal representation, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
User's recommendation: Look elsewhere!
Deceitful
Tully Rinckey is not transparent with their clients and has questionable billing practices.
When I first called, they stated they would schedule me for a consultation with an attorney but would charged me a consultation fee. Here is the first issue, typically, consultations are free.
When I mentioned this to the person I spoke with, she said that if I choose to hire them, the consultation fee would go towards my retainer. If I chose not to hire them, I would be at a loss.
Since I needed an attorney, I chose to go ahead with it seeing how more than likely the money would go towards the retainer.
When I met the attorney, they seemed knowledgeable and I was interested in moving forward. They gave me the fee and I made the payment. Turns out that the attorney you have your consultation with will NOT be the attorney assigned to your case.
This was in the contract. This made no sense to me, seeing how I made a payment on a fee that the first attorney gave me. Im basically paying for that persons services, so why would another attorney that Id never communicated with take my case? I mentioned this to the person handling everything for me prior to signing the contract and they guaranteed me I would be assigned the same attorney.
Luckily I had this on email so when they tried to give me a different attorney I called them out on their BS right away.
After going back and forth with the company several times they assigned me the attorney I requested based on the email.
Now comes the good stuff. They never expressed that ALL calls, ALL emails, basically ALL communication would be charged. The thing is, you dont even know who is handling your paperwork so if your attorney assigns someone to review paperwork, guess what? You have no control of that and they will charge you excessive fees.
How they come up with this and whether they are truthful on the number of hours they put into this is beyond me. Its absolutely insane.
Im down about 15k on a case that was supposed to be roughly 3k. Oh!
And that consultation fee that was supposed to go toward my retainer? That was false, it did not go toward the retainer and I became aware on the first bill which was when they let me know the retainer was depleted and I owed thousands of dollars.
User's recommendation: Do not choose this company. Do your research, but do not go with this one.

Verified ReviewerDisappointing Experience with Tully Legal
I had a highly disappointing experience with Tully Legal. From the start, their communication was poor and inconsistent.
Despite my efforts to stay in touch, I often found myself waiting for responses and updates, leaving me feeling in the dark about my case. Unfortunately, their lack of effective communication and assistance contributed to the unfavorable outcome of my case.
I expected a higher level of professionalism and support, but instead, I felt neglected and unimportant. I would not recommend Tully Legal to anyone seeking reliable service.

Verified ReviewerAvoid
Iv never called nor inquired of them at all but I get constant calls from them 3x a day. It's awful.
I'm on the do not call list yet they don't care. If they are that desperate for cases to call people without permission and never stop though told to, they prove how bad of a lawyer they are

Don't waste your time or money, I repeat, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. You will get nickel and dimed to death and not win your case.
- Took my case
- From the middle of the incidents so it was very easy for my agency to simply side step and dismiss my case
- Which had more proof on my side than against me
- Built my case
Preferred solution: A refund would be great but I know that will never happen.

Verified ReviewerHorrible Cold and Uncaring Customer Service
After speaking with a customer service representative to see if they would handle my civil rights case, I found the representative very cold and callous. They showed no feelings, concern or comfort in regards to my case.
In fact, they seemed annoyed that I had called. If someone calls back, I will not be doing business with them.
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Don't bother calling.
Unprofessional inappropriate communication
The paralegal that called me for a case evaluation was rude and made extremely inappropriate comments that offended me. Too bad for them because another firm took my $1.75Mil case.
User's recommendation: Do not even ask for a case evaluation, they will judge you and insult you before even meeting you.

Verified ReviewerAt first I was a happy client trying to get my partner out of here.My attorney that now has left this company and charged me 5,000.00 and no results. She never told me she was leaving the company.
Well, when it came to my court date for an eviction. A different attorney showed up from this office and did nothing for me.
So, here I am in the same position before my attorney left the office.
User's recommendation: Thinking you’re hiring one of the best. Really look into their history too, big you can.
Case labor law very poor service
This firm only use 2-3 different inexperienced lawyers and screw up my case. They start with high profile at the end they walk away. Federal employment and MSPB appeal please don't waste our time and money.

Verified ReviewerForced mediation/arbitration on pay disputes
Overbills their customers, refuses to send refunds for firing their attorney, forces mediation and with over 3k in very questionable charges, they offer 500 dollars to settle the dispute. I cannot stress this enough, do not go to them.
- List goes on
- Left over retainer amount sent by check internationally without tracking
- Attorney not reading emails

All zeros
I was a whistleblower and a victim of retaliation- I had to pay $600 just to have a consult / my impression was that once I paid retainer that was it/ I would be done! I was told that I would get the money returned if they couldnt win the case.
The lawyer was very unorganized and emailed me contracts from other clients asking me to sign them? She used up my entire retainer just trying to get the basic discovery completed - then they moved my case to the top attorney and I told them I cannot afford to pay more/ plus I explained that they billed me all my retainer funds for misfiling and mismanagement of my case - I lost everything/ I was homeless for several months as well / Tully R told me I can file my case for free with OMP- but they submitted an incomplete narrative so I lost my case - this company is a nightmare they prey on victims who are already penniless and hurting!
And now / Tully R is emailing me stating I owe them more money!!! They burned through my retainer - ruined my case and sent me other clients files !!!

Verified Reviewer |Fraudulent billing, SCAMMERS.
.Hired this firm before seeing all the reviews.
WORST SHAM ARTISTS EVER!! Instead of an actual attorney with ethics and experience I had an associate attorney who could not even spell or produce a grammarly correct sentence.
The day of the submission of my complaint, (I believe Ryan Green actually thought that I would not fire them because the complaint was submitted). Ryan Green had his secretary send me an email asking for $3,512.30 more without sending an itemized bill. I had paid a $5000 retainer fee and only received one inflated bill for $1,372.50. When I emailed Mr.
Green questioning the amount requested, he said my account was "in arrears" yet there should have been over $3,000 left of the retainer?? Mr. Green had a bill made up to match the requested amount.
I suspected a scammer at work...ask for $3,512.30 and when the client questions it then create a bill to match AFTER the fact.
I contacted my CC company to have them charge back the $5000 and I was going to pay by check instead so I could take control of the payments. (It's a good thing the CC authorization wasn't $10,000 or they would have taken it all)
Then I sent a check for $1,512.50 which they accepted and cashed, then they sent another bill for $5,000 with no itemized bill.
So what started as a $5,000 dollar retainer is now Tully Rinckey, Mr.
Ryan Greene, and Mr. Peter Carley 's campaign to bilk me of $6,512.50, AFTER I received a final statement of $5,140.00.
I have tried communicating with Tully Rinckey to pay the actual amount due but to no avail, The only person that responds is Peter Carley demanding $5000 on top of the check they cashed for $1,512.50

Verified Reviewer |Stay away from Tully Rinckey
Do not waste your time or money with Tully Rinckey. Worst law firm ever.
I hired them to prepare a QDRO.
In over two years and all the money I paid them, the only thing they accomplished was obtaining an incomplete set of investment statements. And two of the attorneys working on my case during that time left the firm or were terminated for incompetence.
- Care more about billing you than your case
- Scammed me
- Self promoting logos are all lies
Preferred solution: Full refund
